Since our formation in 2020, LumenEE has been privileged to work with some important and great clients. This work has given us insight and access to the offshore wind supply chain here in the UK and globally, and helped us to better understand the needs of companies trying to win work in offshore wind.
We have also been involved in some major sector initiatives, including the OWGP's WEST programme, the Strategic Investment Assessment and Strategic Investment Model in Scotland, and more recently the Supply Chain Capability Analysis (SCCA) for the Offshore Wind Industry Council and Offshore Wind Programme Board.
The SCCA was led by Everoze, with support from LumenEE and BiGGAR Economics. The summary report was published today. This report hopefully helps give the evidence base to change our ambition on what is possible and realistic in growing UK supply chain activity.
To deliver that report we assembled a group of sector experts, including a number of LumenEE and Everoze associates. We saw that our ability to bring together a range of experts to work together on strategic supply chain issues brought real value.
Too many projects are run out of small teams working beyond their expertise. As a set of consultancies we saw that the best way to avoid this was by working more closely together, so the SCCA is not a one off but a start of a better way of working for the benefit of offshore wind.
And our experience on the SCCA has led us to look at how we work together in future, and to make this approach of senior engagement and expertise available to others.
The result is a strategic partnership between Everoze, LumenEE, Scotia Supply Chain and Generating Better. We remain separate organisations, but we're committed to coming together to work and support clients on supply chain issues and strategic challenges. We understand that capturing capturing economic value and securing long term political buy-in is hard. In order to do that you need senior strategic supply chain and industrialisation support.
Our partnership will offer tailored insights across three customer groups:
1. DEVELOPERS - we help you develop the right supply chain for your projects or pipeline, drafting supply chain statements and providing tailored support for development and/or investment decisions.
2. REGULATORS AND ENABLERS - we help you develop and deliver national or regional industralisation strategies for offshore wind. We work top down and bottom up and do so in mature and emerging markets.
3. SUPPLY CHAIN PLAYERS – we help you grow your business in offshore wind. We do so for companies both large and small across the value chain.
We see that we can help clients by providing a deep understanding of capability, the ever-evolving competitive landscape, and the interventions that successfully grow companies in offshore wind.
